Bio

An accomplished songwriter with more than 300 songs to his credit - 100 plus of which have been featured on various albums - Cuban-born Jorge Luis Rojas aka Rojitas is a quadruple threat who can effortlessly switch modes between singer, composer, director and producer.

His skills as a performer saw him become a presenter and host of 3 different programs on Cuban television. There, he also helmed his own and very popular radio show. His talents have garnered him every national singing award in his native land.

Among his many accomplishments, Rojitas counts 18 CD recordings as well as 10 music projects for which he can proudly claim full production credits, as well as a 3-year stint as a member of The Latin Grammy Awards Jury.

When his own orchestra and as a member of several others, he has successfully toured 19 countries, during which time he mastered every style of music he had the pleasure of interpreting; from Salsa to Rock and nearly every genre in between.

He has graced the stages of some of the most important Latin music festivals in Europe and in America, often sharing the spotlight with such artists as George Martin, Ruben Blades, El gran comobo de Puerto Rico, Andy Montanez, Cherino Feliciano as well as some of the greatest singers from the world of Salsa and tropical music.

Rojitas has been a member of the General Society of Authors and Publishers in Spain(SGAE)since 1995 and today his music can be heard in more than 40 countries around the globe.

Rojitas' new mini album is unique, consisting of 4 Salsa songs; HABANA, MANBO ASERECO, THE KISS, and THE BEE GEES SALSA MIX which is a medley version of Run to me, I've just gotta get a message to you, Melody fair and Down the road in Salsa Rhythm. THE KISS is a cover song and originally written and composed by Japanese singer/songwriter, Junya Yamaike(Nippon Columbia).

 Having the base in Toronto, Canada, he has been touring to the world.
