Influenced by international rock greats like The Beatles, John Mayer, Goo Goo Dollsand Incubus, Davi Zew’s, 23, learned how to play the guitar at the age of 12 and at 16 he already had decided to follow the music path.
Before beginning his solo career in 2008, he had already performed and played, while in high school, in small garage bands. In 2010, Davi Zew’s released his first album copyright Tudo Vai Mudar.. His songs wander through the pop-rock contemporary universe with optimistic lyrics, sometimes romantic and dancing.
Driven by the influences of folk, blues rock and electronic music influences, Davi Zew’s attracted not only the Brazilian public but as well as the ears of some Japanese.
A curious story has made the artist produce a version of one of his songs in Japanese. All began when a singer`s friend who was giving Portuguese lessons to Japanese students in Toronto, Canada, used Davi Zew’s music in his classes to help his students with pronunciation and comprehension. One of his students loved the songs and decided to translate it to Japanese. Davi Zew’s recorded one of the tracks in Japanese and the girl sent it to her mother, a teacher in Osaka and responsible for the musical selection of the school radio.
Realizing the public response and have been interested in the Japanese culture since his childhood, Davi Zew’s decided to translate 4 more songs from his CD and make an EP in Japanese, called Everything Will Change, which was released on the internet on October 2010. ( www.davizews.com )
